WolfTracs was presented with an opportunity to integrate their solution with key service providers in their industry in order to revamp labor-intensive workflows and enable automated data exchange between parties, thereby improving security, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall experience for their customers. In order to achieve this, WolfTracs realized they needed to modernize both their legacy software and their internal business processes.
Through iTrellis’ engagement in partnership with Atmosera, Crestron was able to add new features to its website which now had robust geo-replication with optimized global performance. Tightly-knit integration amongst the various components of its network infrastructure (Azure Content Delivery Network and Blob Storage along with Elasticsearch) was achieved, thereby further optimizing the overall network performance. iTrellis helped to design, plan, and launch new features delivered to the business and its employees, partners, and customers. A succession plan was implemented to ensure a smooth transition back to Crestron’s IT staff and developers upon the completion of the engagement.
Over time, iTrellis consultants have provided the following services to both on the "IT side" e.g. ETL, Warehousing support, and the "Business side" e.g. Dashboards, Reports, and data analysis.
iTrellis created two software packages hosted on a private NuGet feed that could easily be plugged into their desktop applications – one for logging and one for telemetry. These packages leverage Application Insights in the Microsoft Azure cloud, addressing the issue of accessing the logs from the agents’ machines, while at the same time, converting them into a format which could be easily accessible by the development team.
iTrellis began with an assessment phase to clearly identify the issues that were plaguing Capstone. A strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis was performed, thereby allowing us to eliminate bottlenecks and restructure roles to increase greater efficiencies. iTrellis was instrumental in showcasing a more modern software development methodology directly through its code output and underlying processes. We facilitated the creation of a product roadmap by building out a transparent product backlog and incorporated Scrum practices as part of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) approach, which further supported their Dev-Ops activities. We incorporated a servant leadership model, thereby empowering the teams to be successful moving forward, after our engagement was completed.
